Easy Crepes for Kids, or anyone Young at Heart, by, Gina Meyers

Guess what I am cooking this morning?

You guessed it, crepes. Crepes are really thin pancakes and are French. But you don't have to be french to love them and anyone, any age can cook them. Here's what you need.

If mom and dad don't want any, you might want to make it for yourself and maybe your brother or sister.

Here you go!

1 egg
Dash of salt
1/2 cups of flour
1/2 cup of milk (or you can use coconut milk, almond milk)
1/16 cup of melted butter

Directions: In a medium mixing bowl, combine egg and a dash of salt. Gradually add flour alternately with milk, beating with an electric mixer or whisk until smooth. Beat in melted butter. Don't forget to wash your hands before and after you are cooking. Make sure that your hair is pulled back and your finger and fingernails are clean.

You can wear plastic gloves and an apron too. In a skillet, over medium heat, add a pat of butter and melt it, next add your creamy and liquid crepe batter and pour in a circular motion. Cook on each side and use a spatula flip over and fill with your favorite such as chocolate chips and/or strawberries fresh or even strawberry jam and top with powdered sugar and whipped cream.

Refrigerate batter for an half an hour. Cook on a griddle or in a pan with a little pat of butter and melt it. Use a rubber spatula
